The Marmot’s Den is an underground installation designed by Officina82 for Skyway Monte Bianco. Set within the alpine landscape of the Pavillon station at 2,173 meters, it narrates the habitat and yearly life cycle of the alpine marmot. Three corten steel tunnels host an interior made of CLT fir panels, evoking the animal’s underground burrows through infographics, seating, and educational content. Prefabricated in the valley, airlifted and fully reversible, the architecture merges narrative and material into a highly immersive and sustainable experience.​
